Weekend Vibes in Miami, FL

Miami is always live, especially on the weekend. It doesn’t matter what time of year you go, you can always catch a good weekend vibe in Miami. So if you plan on popping into the city just for 48 hours to get your life and go back home, here are a few things you should do while you’re there:

Book your last minute hotel using the Hotel Tonight app. Once you decide whether you’d like to stay on South Beach, Downtown Miami or Wynwood, the app has great last minute deal options for whichever you choose. You should also decide whether you’re going for the high end luxury experience, a hip and trendy experience or bottom line, you just want somewhere to sleep and bathe. When I pop into Miami for a short trip, my go to hotel is ME Miami. It’s located in Downtown Miami,  minutes away from South Beach and Wynwood but much less crowded with a luxury experience.

Things to Do

Hit South Beach– I mean that’s pretty much what Miami is known for. South beach is always live with people and music and whatever else you’re into. You can find yourself walking up and down Ocean Drive drinking and eating and walking around Collins to do some shopping for hours. Then when you get tired of walking, hit the beach.

Explore WynwoodWynwood Walls has brought all of the worlds most famous and talented graffiti and street artists to one location. Located at 2520 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami FL 33127 you’ll explore some of the most eye-catching artwork you’ve ever seen. Below are three of my favorites:

Where to Eat

Nikki Beach Enjoy an open buffet of everything you’d want for brunch at Nikki Beach for $50. It’s a sexy ocean side outdoor oasis with cabanas, live entertainment, music and food. It’s the perfect brunch destination in Miami. Address: 1 Ocean Drive South Beach Miami Beach Florida 33139

Wynwood Diner- is a very trendy colorful diner located in Wynwood. For brunch I ordered french toast, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Address: 2601 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127

Stripsteak by Michael Mina– Located in the Fontainebleau is this amazing steakhouse. I had a 8oz filet mignon with a side of mac n cheese and creamed spinach. I ended my meal with creme brulee. This meal was probably one of the best steak meals I’ve ever had and I will be returning. Address: 4441 Collins Avenue Miami Beach FL. 33140

Wynwood Kitchen & Bar – Located at the Wynwood Walls, this restaurant blends the beauty of art and good food. Address: 2550 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127

Late Night

Moshi Moshi- I went to Moshi Moshi late one night after partying. I was looking for somewhere that was still open with good food. I was so excited to find out they had booths where you can sit Indian style on a bench and enjoy your meal. I had sushi of course. Address: 1448 Washington Ave Miami Beach, FL 33139 and 7232 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33138

Where to Party

Basement Miami is so unique. It’s a bowling alley, skating rink and lounge all mixed in one. The music is usually great and so are the vibes. You can dress up or dress down but the most important think to remember is to have a ball! Address: 2901 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140

Wynwood Tavern is an outdoor bar. You can dress however you’d like, and just go to hang out with friends to enjoy a variety of music. Address: 2531 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 3312

As far as clubs, Studio 23, a multipurpose venue located at 247 23rd Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139 and LIV located at 4441 Collins Ave. Miami, FL 33140 are great party all night options!
