San Diego, CA

San Diego is the perfect family trip when traveling to the west coast if you’re looking for activities for the kids and a little adult fun. We took a trip to San Diego and it took me back to feeling like a kid myself. We mixed a little sightseeing, with eating, and of course enjoyed the weather. If you’re looking for a trip for the family, here’s why I suggest San Diego.

Things to Do

SeaWorld is a must in San Diego. As someone who loves swimming and animals, I was so excited to share this experience with my baby boy. Of course our favorite part was the dolphin show.

No trip to San Diego is complete without visiting the San Diego Zoo. The San Diego is an all day family affair. Put your walking shoes on and prepare to feel like a kid again.

If you’re looking to explore the beauty of San Diego with more of a sightseeing feel, check out Balboa Park. We loved the Botanical Building and Lily Pond.

The San Diego Navy Pier is another great sightseeing adventure. There you’ll see the famous kissing sailor statue.

Another fun site in San Diego is Mission Beach and Belmont Park. Think Coney Island when you think of these two places. It’s filled with rides, shops, and the beach. It’s definitely a must when visiting San Diego.

Where to Eat

Brunch

Have you ever had apple pie pancakes? Neither have I, until I visited Richard Walker’s Pancake House. I don’t even have to tell you how incredible these pancakes were, just look at the picture!

The Lazy Hippo was such a cute restaurant. It also had the most delicious cinnamon role pancakes. Yum!

Dinner

We had date night at Cannonball. This restaurant was a perfect rooftop vibe with a beautiful view of the water during the day and cozy seating with heat lamps for the evening. I had the delicious lobster spinach dip.

You can’t go the west coast and not have tacos right? Well we indulged in some trophy tacos at Puesto. I had the Shrimp Adobada and they were delicious.
