In the heart of Bangkok, tucked away on a quiet side street, adjacent to the world renowned Sukhumvit Road, you’ll find a relaxing and resort-like hotel called Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok. This hotel is perfectly situated walking distance from restaurants, bars, clubs and shops. The beauty of this hotel is that once you enter their doors, everything is calm, the staff is welcoming and the aura is inviting. You will feel at home at this hotel and the Bellman and Concierge are very helpful and friendly. They especially made my experience at Mövenpick very lovely by offering help with planning how to get around the city, where to go and also going the extra mile to make taxi arrangements for me. That is the type of experience you’ll have at Mövenpick.
My trip to Bangkok was only two and a half days (previously spending three days in Phuket) and I hadn’t planned to be spending too much time in my hotel room. So I initially chose the Superior Room and was pleasantly surprised when they upgraded my room to the Deluxe Room. My European styled room was cozy and was just enough for me to sleep comfortably, shower in their walk in rain shower (with the option of the separate bathtub) and head back out. But by this leg of my trip, I was a absolutely exhausted. So after walking around Sukhumvit and hanging out, I found myself disappearing to my room and napping more often than I planned to. The location of the hotel and my room was perfect for the balance of fun and rest.
Every morning Mövenpick Hotel offers a complimentary international buffet breakfast in their Lelawadee Restaurant. The restaurant is surrounded by greenery making it both tranquil and inviting. It serves over 50 different dishes, featuring both European and Asian flair. With a busy day ahead of sightseeing, and walking around, you want to start your day with a full hearty breakfast. So this was one of my favorite parts of my hotel experience. But I am kicking myself for missing their Chocolate Hour from 4:00pm to 5:00pm where they offer complimentary chocolate treats. How did I miss that. *sigh* I guess it gives me a reason to visit again. Mövenpick also has a Rainforest Rooftop Bar offering happy hour as well as a Lobby Bar.
If you visit Bangkok, stay at Mövenpick Hotel Sukhumvit 15 Bangkok This modern Thai-inspired hotel is conveniently located in Sukhumvit Soi 15 and is like an oasis in the middle of busy Bangkok. You can be a tourist like me and walk to the BTS skytrain and explore the city, you can walk to restaurants and eat some authentic Thai food or you can disappear inside the hotel and relax at the Rooftop Pool. It’s pretty much an all in one experience.
