What’s happening on Halloween? I personally am not one of those people at all but I thought you’d appreciate a list of the top five ways to spend this spooky holiday. After you choose a plan from this list, all you need is a costume and maybe a bag for treats.
1. Halloween Parade
New York City’s 42nd annual Village Halloween Parade takes place on October 31, 2015 from 7:00pm to 11:00pm. The parade marches from Spring Street to 16th street on 6th avenue. This parade is the livest event in NYC. Everyone is welcome to participate in the parade but you must arrive between 6:30pm and 8:30pm and you MUST be wearing a costume. Everyone else is more than welcome to watch.

2. Haunted Houses
There’s nothing like being haunted and helpless at a haunted house on Halloween. If being frightened is your kind of thing then a haunted house is your place to be. Three haunted houses that will absolutely scare you to death are Blackout, Nightmare and Blood Manor . Ticket prices are between $30 and $60. Visit each site for further details.
3. Halloween Themed Restaurants
How about a dinner out at a halloween themed restaurant? It’s the best of both worlds, food and fun. The famous Jekyll & Hyde Restaurant provides live entertainment and food. The Witches Brew provides a creepy yet cool environment for you Halloweeners with great desserts and nice scenery.
4. Fright Fest at Six Flags
Since Halloween lands on a Saturday you have more than enough time to visit Fright Fest at Six Flags over the weekend. Grab a group of friends, take a mini road trip and have some fun. Tickets are still on sale and hey, be a big kid and live a little.
5. Halloween Parties
What better way to celebrate Halloween than a costume themed Halloween party? The best parties always have a winner for best costume.
